One of the main ways we do community and discipleship at Grace Covenant is in our small groups. Our groups meet evenings during the week both at the church building and throughout the south Twin Cities metro.
We aim to do four things in each small group:
Ours is a faith based on the Word of God. We study the Bible together to hear and heed God's voice.
We come before God giving thanks, confessing sin, praising Him for who He is and what He has done, and asking for His help.
We do the hard work of helping each other live out the Gospel of grace in real, everyday life.
We look to the needs of others, in our small group, in our church community, and in our larger community.
We want your children to be loved and nurtured in Jesus Christ. Children aged 3 to grade 6 meet each week (Sept-May, summers off) during our Christian Formation hour to learn a variety of topics and biblical books and themes. Right now, we're meeting for 30 minutes after the worship service to go through 5 weeks of Garden to Glory children's curriculum.
Each fall and spring semester, we teach classes on Sundays that focus on our mission of Worship, Discipleship, and Mission. This fall, we plan to have two 5-week modules, meeting for 30 minutes after the worship service, that each focus on missions, the first from the perspective of church history and the second from the perspective of current missionaries.
Our Women's Ministry Team serves the women of Grace Covenant through events focused on discipleship and hospitality.
Our Men's Ministry Team brings the men of Grace Covenant together for food and fellowship (we call it The TABLE) to build relationships and foster discipleship among the men of the church. Beef. It's not just for breakfast anymore.
We seek to bring the good news of Jesus Christ to our neighbors, our state and beyond. We support missionaries in the field and participate in mission work. On our most recent trip we served South Dakota tribal members by working on a cemetery restoration project with a sister church.
